Holiday and Dialysis
Holiday and Dialysis
Everyone needs, and more importantly, has the right to a holiday. Kidney patients, and in particular those who receive regular dialysis treatment have very little opportunity to travel abroad or to go on business trips to other countries. Dialysis centres located in holiday regions have so far provided an opportunity for thousands of foreign dialysis patients to receive dialysis treatment while on holiday. While dialysis patients receive their treatment, they will also regain their freedom of movement. With its historical texture, entertainment opportunities and unequalled nature, Turkey has been a focal centre in holiday dialysis, and always been preferred for the services it provides at European standards.
Many dialysis centres in Turkey offer holiday opportunities to the patients they will host throughout the summer, alongside the treatment they provide. Dialysis centres who provide services to patients who suffer from chronic kidney failure have been designed in the shape of a hotel, and presented for the use of patients and guests from many of the European countries. Each patient has a private room, where every detail from hot water to a hair-dryer, and air-conditioning to a refrigerator has been thought of. Patients who receive dialysis treatment for 4 hours a day while sitting in their armchairs with access to television and the internet, are able to relieve their stress in the swimming pool and sunbathe immediately after being disconnected from the dialysis machine. Patients who are treated by the dialysis machine for 4 hours are able to spend the rest of their time enjoying their holiday.
Dialysis patients from among the groups arriving in our country from abroad are provided a service under hygienic and high standards. There are special devices which have been set aside for Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C patients.
All guests who stay at hotels in the holiday regions and receive dialysis services from dialysis centres are provided the services of a patient transportation vehicle. The patient transportation vehicles bring guests from where they are staying for dialysis, and return them to their hotel as soon as possible.
A dialysis patient must guarantee his or her place prior to going on holiday. Therefore, when planning your holiday, you should first of all make your dialysis reservations.
